Juvéderm® XC

How It Works

JUVÉDERM® XC is injected into the dermis (underneath the skin) into the areas of moderate to deep folds and lines in the face or to increase volume that is lost as we age. Popular areas that are treated by the JUVÉDERM® XC dermal filler at Omni Cosmetic include lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds (smile lines), lower eyelids, and deeper lines and crevices such as chicken pox and acne scars.

What Is JUVÉDERM® XC?

JUVÉDERM® is dermal filler gel made of hyluronic acid (a natural sugar found in the body) to increase the volume in the face that is lost over time, as we age. JUVÉDERM® also has a numbing medicine in it called Lidocaine. This will help increase your comfort during the injection.

How Long Does It Last?

JUVÉDERM® dermal fillers can last anywhere from 9-12 months. This can vary from person to person. It can depend on the area it is injected and how quickly your body breaks down the filler.

 

Juvéderm Voluma® XC

Juvéderm Voluma® XC is the latest hylauronic acid dermal filler FDA approved for cheek augmentation for women and men. Whether you want more definition in your cheekbones or desire the youthful plumpness you were accustomed to, Voluma offers up to two years of efficacy. Many patients may start with Juvederm when first trying cheek augmentation and then opt for a longer lasting solution.

Voluma is a soft, natural dermal filler and Paula will work with you to determine a results that gives you a rejuvenated look, without looking overdone.

Generally speaking, younger and middle-aged patients who still have a good deal of skin elasticity see the most pronounced results. For patients who have significant skin laxity, a higher quantity of Juvéderm Voluma XC is needed, and a facelift may be recommended instead.

What Is Juvéderm Voluma XC?

Juvéderm Voluma XC is a popular dermal filler. It is a gel that can be injected into the cheek area, where it gently lifts the skin and helps correct lost volume. Typically, this lost volume is a simple result of the aging process. Because it is made with naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, Juvéderm Voluma XC is well-tolerated by most patients.

How Long Does It Last?

Maintenance injections and touch-ups may also be used to extend your results even further. As with all dermal fillers, however, this is just an estimate. The exact duration of your fillers can vary depending on height, weight, and overall health.

Dysport®

Dysport® Cosmetic was FDA approved for cosmetic wrinkle correction in 2009 and is an alternative option for those who are not candidates for Botox.    ​

Who It’s For

Dysport is typically recommended for adults 65 or younger, particularly those who still have some skin elasticity. You must be at least 18 to be treated with Dysport. Dysport can be used to improve the appearance of frown lines, furrowed brows, and crow’s feet. In some cases, it may also be recommended to improve the appearance of smile lines/laugh lines, as well as “bunny lines” (that is, wrinkles beside the nose).

What is Dysport?

Dysport is an injectable form of botulinum toxin, making it a product similar in nature to Botox. Dysport is not a dermal filler; it is a neuromodulation product. Where Botox can be used in different areas of your face and neck, Dysport is more targeted toward your forehead and the area between your eyebrows. At Omni Cosmetic, we often recommend Dysport to subtly address the aging process and produce a smoother facial appearance.

How Long Does It Last?

For most patients, Dysport treatments last around five months. This can vary from patient to patient and depends on factors like height, weight, and how your body tolerates neuromodulators. Additionally, choosing a skilled injectionist can help prolong the effects of your Dysport treatments. Touch-up injections may be used to extend your results.

Sculptra®

Sculptra® Is the only FDA approved dermal filler that boosts the skin’s natural collagen production, treating the underlying case of aging – the loss of collagen. Sculptra subtly and gradually restores and rejuvenates the treatment areas with youthful healthy volume.  Performed over a series of 2-3 treatments results with Sculptra develop slowly over several months.
