Liposuction Consultation
During the initial consultation, our doctors will evaluate your medical history and determine if liposuction would be an appropriate surgery for you. We will take the time to educate you about liposuction surgery and welcome all of your questions about the surgery, our practice, and recovery after your liposuction surgery.
Our doctors will carefully mark your areas of concern and work with you to attain the shape you desire. Liposuction is an effective procedure for the arms, tummy, hips, back, chest wall of men, inner thighs and outer thighs, inner knees, ankles, and neck. If the skin is too loose, liposuction may result in sagging of the skin. Loose muscles after childbirth may also result in persistent bulging, despite thorough liposuction. In this case, Abdominoplasty or Tummy Tuck is required to tighten the skin and muscles and flatten the tummy. If the skin of the upper arms is loose, an upper arm lift or brachioplasty may be more appropriate.

Liposuction Surgery
Liposuction is a same-day procedure performed under a general anesthetic. Often, our doctors will be able to target different areas of the body during the same procedure or combine liposuction with other surgeries such as a tummy tuck, upper arm lift, or breast procedures. Your safety is of utmost importance and we will carefully evaluate your complete medical and family history along with the extent of the procedures you are considering to determine if multiple surgeries can safely be combined.
Liposuction Recovery
Following your liposuction surgery, you will be cared for by the nursing staff in the recovery room. When you are fully awake and comfortable, you will be released to the care of a family member or friend with a list of after-care instructions. There will be guidelines for after-care. Following surgery, you will need to wear an elastic support garment for up to six weeks.
We will schedule your post-operative follow-up appointments in one of our clinics periodically throughout the next 4-6 weeks.
