Eyelid Surgery Procedure
Eyelid surgery is a same-day procedure performed in an outpatient facility under general anesthesia, or sometimes, sedation. Incisions will be carefully hidden in the natural structures of the eyelid area, along the crease of the upper eyelid and just below the lash line of the lower eyelid. Some of the more outdated techniques resulted in “overcorrection” and left eyes with less skin – but more hollowed and sunken. Our doctors prefer to use a soft tissue preservation technique that removes the excess skin and bags – but preserves the soft tissues that often give the eyelid a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
Your eyelid surgery will be scheduled at a fully accredited outpatient surgery facility such as WestHealth in Plymouth, MN, Maple Grove Hospital in Maple Grove, Minnesota, or CentraCare Surgery Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
