Dr. Mitchell Hagen

Dr. Mitchell Hagen is a fellowship trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Omni Cosmetic. He grew up on his family farm in western Minnesota before attending St. John’s University. His academic and athletic prowess paved the way for medical school at the University of Minnesota. It was here that Dr. Hagen developed his interest in head and neck surgery. He was selected to train at the University of Minnesota in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He found his passion for facial plastic surgery after experiencing the technical skills blending with creativity and artistry. The impact that well-performed facial plastic surgery can have on a patient’s life is what drew him to this specialized field. He made a decision to pursue specialized training and devote his career exclusively to facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty in order to develop the skillset and aesthetic that few can match. Dr. Hagen pursued fellowship training with the world-renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Andrew Jacono. He was selected by Dr. Jacono from a highly competitive pool of applicants to complete this sought-after fellowship and worked alongside him on Park Avenue in Manhattan.

Dr. Hagen specializes in facial rejuvenation procedures including deep plane facelifts, lip lifts, brow lifts, lateral temporal lifts, eye lifts (upper and lower blepharoplasty), as well as rhinoplasty. Dr. Hagen takes seriously the pressure and responsibility that comes with facial plastic surgery, striving to always deliver natural results that exceed patient expectations. Specializing in facial aging and rhinoplasty has allowed Dr. Hagen to hone in on the details and nuances of these procedures that are often overlooked. He approaches the face comprehensively, ensuring balanced and restored results that are individually tailored to each patient to meet their aesthetic goals. He takes pride in addressing patient concerns thoroughly, discussing all treatment options—both surgical and non-surgical—to ensure his patients are informed.

A Minnesota native, Dr. Hagen always intended to return home. He now offers his local Minnesota patients access to his Park Avenue training at Omni Cosmetic in Wayzata. He accommodates out-of-town patients by providing virtual consultations prior to surgery and typically requires a 7-10 day stay in Minnesota depending on the procedure. Our discreet location ensures patient privacy unlike the experience at a large surgical center or hospital. Additionally, we hand pick our anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgical technicians to guarantee the safety, consistency, and expertise that our patients deserve.

As passionate as Dr. Hagen is about his work, he is even more passionate about his family. He met his wife during the first week of medical school and quickly knew he found the one. She is now a very accomplished OB/GYN dedicated to women’s health. Together they balance their demanding careers with their family life. They have a beautiful daughter who means the world to them. They value quality time with their family and enjoy Minnesota’s lakes, golf courses, and their family farm. Dr. Hagen feels honored that his patient’s have trusted him and treats them the same as he would for his own family members.
