Your Experience with Liposuction in Body Contouring
Body contouring liposuction is a same-day procedure performed under a general anesthetic. Often, our doctors will be able to target different areas of the body during the same procedure or combine liposuction with other surgeries such as a tummy tuck, upper arm lift, or breast procedures. Your safety is of utmost importance and we will carefully evaluate your complete medical and family history along with the extent of the procedures you are considering to determine if multiple surgeries can safely be combined.
Your Experience with Body Contouring Recovery
Following your liposuction surgery, you will be cared for by the nursing staff in the recovery room. When you are fully awake and comfortable, you will be released to the care of a family member or friend with a list of after-care instructions. There will be guidelines for after-care. Following surgery, you will need to wear an elastic support garment for up to six weeks.
We will schedule your post-operative follow-up appointments in one of our clinics periodically throughout the next 4-6 weeks.
